Aon Events was formed by in San Diego in 2013 with a mission statement to offer the highest level of pro DJ & MC services, along with excellent customer service and fair pricing to all wedding, corporate and private event clients. Since that time we have been a part of over 450 weddings and over 1000 events of all types (corporate & private events, parties, school events, quinceaneras, bar mitvahs, poolside and patio outdoor events, and more). We now serve Sonoma and Marin counties, and our current team consists of DJ Danny Aon, alongside partnerships with DJs Micah, Dray, and Bryce. Rounding out the team is our photo booth attendant and event assistant, Alex B.

Meet DJ Danny Aon:
“Hi there! I'm originally from London (no accent anymore!), but grew up in Vancouver and Los Angeles. I have been crazy about music my whole life; from being glued to MTV as a kid to eventually attending music school in Hollywood, music has always been my great passion. I studied music theory and guitar at Musicians Institute as well as in college (Los Angeles Valley College), and from the age of 18 to 25 I had a career as a musician, playing in several popular groups and getting to perform around the country. But by my mid-20s, I found myself much more interested in my ever-expanding record collection, in trying to learn the latest scratch technique, and searching all the record shops for rare breakbeat records, and so the guitar kind of fell by the wayside. I take DJing very seriously, and have been fortunate to have been a full-time DJ since around 2011 (shortly after I moved to San Diego). Transitioning from club gigs to events and then weddings, I now own a popular DJ and events business, and love connecting with and meeting new people! In 2023, I relocated to Sonoma County and love being a part of the event community up here” - DJ Danny
Quick Bio: Danny has been a full-time DJ and Emcee for over 15 years, and has performed all over California and beyond, including gigs in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Jose, San Diego, Temecula, Orange County, and Sonoma County. Danny began his DJ career in Los Angeles in 2008, and is an avid turntablist and vinyl enthusiast, and was an active resident DJ on the San Diego and LA club circuit for over 10 years. During that time he filled his full-time schedule between club, casino, and poolside events, and as demand grew expanded into mobile events and audio/lighting production. After founding Aon Events in 2013, he has been a part of many hundred successful and memorable mobile events and event productions - including Weddings, Graduations, Sweet 16s, School Dances, Corporate Events, Bar Mitzvahs, Private Parties, and more. Danny has been a trusted resident DJ and MC at many venues over the years, including at Pechanga Casino’s Round Bar (the largest casino in Southern California), as well as holding residencies at The Rainbow Bar and Grill (Hollywood), The Alley and Coyote (Carlsbad), and the Firewater Saloon and Rookies (Oceanside), and many more. Meet DJ Micah:
BIO: Since 2008, DJ Micah has channeled his love of music into DJing hundreds of events, from weddings to wineries, bars and bar mitzvahs, and everything in between. In those 15 years, he has seen it all and honed his craft with an understanding of what is right for any setting, and prides himself on his communication, professionalism, and versatility. Meet DJ Dray Lopez:
BIO: With a successful career in radio, DJ Dray brings over 20 years of experience as a DJ and music aficiando to every event he is a part of. A true open format DJ and MC, his experience and ability to read the dance floor has made him an in demand DJ in Sonoma. DJ Dray works at Wine Country radio as a program director, and when DJing is known for his personable style, deep knowledge of all music genres, and smooth mixing and transitions. Meet DJ Bryce Williams:
BIO: DJ Bryce Williams has been a 5-star wedding DJ in Wine Country for over 15 years. Bryce is easy- going, professional, and takes music planning to the next level - getting to know his clients well before the wedding day to ensure the music and playlists and both unique and tailored to the bride and groom. He can seamlessly transition from cocktail to dinner, speeches and introductions, and then into keeping the guests dancing all night. Meet Photo Booth Operator/Event Assistant Alex Blocksberg:
BIO: Alex has been involved in a career in sales for the past five years, and is a lifelong fan of technology and computing. Alex is also a photographer and loves being social and meeting new people. Alex runs our photo booths as well as helping put together our larger setups, and has been working with us since 2023.
Who is Aon Events and What Services Do You Provide?
Due to demand (especially for weekend dates), we have a small but dedicated team of excellent DJ/MCs who are experienced with events of all types, and deliver great performances every time. All of our DJs provide excellent mixing, crowd interaction, timeline management, and high quality performances. We keep our team small to make sure our standards are as high as possible, as our reputation is everything. For popular dates, we are often ‘sold out’, so it’s always best to reserve your date as early as possible.
In addition to our professional DJ services, as an event production company we also provide professional audio solutions for corporate events, custom lighting options (moving heads, digital monograms, wireless DMX uplighting, pinspots for cake and dessert table highlighting, video projection, cold sparkulars, fog machines, and photo booths as well.
We also offer two types of photo booths (our photo booth business is named ‘Frame Worthy Photo Booths’) - our Premium Open Air Photo Booth, and our smaller Social Booth. The Premium booth is a full-size open air photo booth, which includes a fun attendant, a great selection of high quality and new props, customizable photo strips, choice of backdrops, unlimited prints and downloads, and online gallery access. Our Social Booth is a stand-alone booth that delivers digital prints and downloads to guests. The Social Booth is also unattended, but can fit in smaller spaces and looks very modern and exciting. Our Photo Booths are operated by Alex B.

Why Hire A Professional DJ/MC?
We feel that the term 'wedding DJ' or ‘event DJ’ is fairly misleading, as we are responsible for many things outsides of just music and dance floors. A more appropriate term might be 'Wedding Host' or 'Entertainment Director'. Often times, new clients find themselves quite unaware of all the responsibilities that fall on the DJ's shoulders and why it is so important to hire an experienced and personable professional. A professional wedding DJ not only knows how to keep the dance floor happy, but knows how to direct guests and keep everything on time and orderly. A professional DJ is also bringing all the sound, the lighting, microphones, and DJ equipment, as well as being responsible for delivering all the announcements clearly and with the right amount of energy and enthusiasm. This is why your DJ is perhaps the most important part of your wedding celebration.
Weddings: Let’s look at a typical wedding and all of the things your DJ is responsible for on the big day. As DJs, we are responsible for the audio and sound during the ceremony, and there is nothing worse for couples than having wireless microphones that drop out or feedback (or don’t work at all). We use the highest quality Sennheiser wireless microphones to make sure the audio is clear and the perfect volume, and that your videographer (if you have one) is getting the clearest signal. If you are also planning on having musicians at your wedding, we can also mic them as well and help with their instrument amplification. Moving on to the cocktail hour, we provide a powered speaker at that location with one of our cocktail hour playlists playing (or the couple’s designed playlist). For Dinner, if it’s in it’s own unique location, we provide a setup for that and that is where we announce the grand entrance and (often) the first dance and parent dances. That is also where the speeches and toasts occur, and we introduce all of the toasters as well as providing the wireless microphone. Sometimes during that time we will also be requested to emcee games, such as the ‘Shoe Game’ or ‘Bridesmaid’s Scavenger Hunt’. During this time we are working closely with the coordinator or venue person to make sure the timing flows properly, that champagne is poured at the right time, and that dinner starts on time and that the tables are dismissed properly. When it’s time for dancing, that is when all of our years of experience as club DJs really gets utilized, as we read the dance floor and keep everyone having a great time all night.
Corporate Events: For corporate events, most of the same things apply, as we are making sure the event stays on timeline and providing clear audio and background music throughtout the night. For corporate events, audio production is really key, so having high quality speakers and wireless microphones is essential for all the announcements and presentations. Often at corporate events we will be providing advanced lighting options (as well as video), and again this all has to flow smoothly and on time. If there’s dancing at end, you want a DJ who has experience and depth of music knowledge to keep everyone having a great time all night.
There's a popular saying among event professionals, which is: 'If you're on a budget, save money on the venue, the decorations, or the flowers, but always make sure you hire a great DJ and Photographer - the two vendors guests will remember long after the event has ended!'. The most common disappointment married couples report from their wedding was not making sure they had a trusted DJ and photographer.
